I've had this problem for a while and I have it on every setup where I have FreeCommander installed. Drag and drop in the tree stops working. I get a red "Do Not Enter" sign when I drag something somewhere else. I've found that if I go into Tools->Settings->File/folder operations dialog and just hit "OK", it re-enables it. So somehow, it's losing the memory of those settings (I'm guessing) and going into the dialog makes it "remember". I have this problem every couple of days, it seems.
I've had the same problem on many subsequent releases. I'm currently on the 64-bit version of 949 on Windows 11 Pro 25H2.
Drag and drop in Tree stops working
Re: Drag and drop in Tree stops working
I've never gotten a response or anything about this bug report. It continues to happen all the time. Every day or so when I try to drag something from the file/folder list to the tree or just about any other drag-and-drop, it doesn't work (Do Not Enter sign). If I go to Tools->Settings, File/Folder Operations->Drag&Drop page and just hit OK (making no changes to the settings), it will start working again for a couple of days. I don't have any specific way of duplicating this issue. I can't think of anything I've done to make this happen. I rarely make settings changes. I can send you settings files or anything you think might help debug it. This happens on every machine I own where I have FreeCommander installed.
I have several layouts on each machine and always start FreeCommander with a /Layout=<layout-name>.

Re: Drag and drop in Tree stops working
I checked it but I see nothing I can change.
Maybe Layout is good point.
Please check after layout change if the option is still active.
